Mike Greenwood

Founder & CEO

Mike leads Evergreen’s investing, strategy, and operations, drawing on more than a decade of experience helping create value at multiple companies as a C-suite operator, investor, board member, and partner to management teams.

Prior to founding Evergreen, Mike was a Principal at CPS Capital, a small-cap private equity firm based in Toronto. Hired as its first employee, he helped raise over $200 million across two funds, led over 15 acquisitions and grew the team to 12 investment professionals. During this time, Mike also assumed the roles of Co-CEO and CFO of Royal House Partners, a US-based HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical business, where he was responsible for the oversight of 10 locations across four states, employing over 200 FTEs.

Prior to this role, Mike worked at Brookfield Asset Management, where he was involved in over $20 billion in investments, recapitalizations, and financings. While at Brookfield, Mike led the first-ever securitization of home service rental contracts in North America at Enercare. He was also involved in the take-private acquisition of Genesse & Wyoming, the largest short-line rail operator in North America, as well as the acquisition of 49% of ADNOC’s natural gas pipeline network in the UAE. Mike began his career in the investment banking division of RBC Capital Markets where he advised companies on M&A, debt, and equity transactions.

Mike graduated with an Honours Business Administration (HBA) degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business at The University of Western Ontario.
